Homemade Bread
Freshly baked homemade bread has an incomparable aroma and flavor. With simple ingredients and some patience for fermentation, you get a bread golden on the outside and soft inside. Oven time is 25-30 minutes.

- 500g all-purpose flour
- 10g active dry yeast
- 10g salt
- 30g sugar
- 30ml oil or melted butter
- 300ml warm water (40C)
- 1 egg for brushing (optional)

Dissolve yeast and sugar in warm water. Wait 5-10 min until frothy.

In a bowl, mix flour and salt. Make a well in the center.

Pour in activated yeast and oil. Mix until a dough forms.

Knead for 10 minutes until dough is smooth and elastic.

Cover with a damp cloth and let rise for 1 hour (double in size).

Punch down to release air and shape the bread.

Place in a greased pan and let rise another 30 minutes.

Brush with beaten egg and bake at 200C for 25-30 minutes until golden.
